From the many interesting stories shared by participants of CQ Moroz – Red Nose in 2026, I would single out the following as winners for receiving my e-book “Guerrilla Portable – A Guide to Ultralight Outdoor Amateur Radio” for operating from the most extreme location:
Mike, R1BBG, for his ultralight radio setup and operating position without any comfort devices; and Sergey, RV3DSA/0, for reaching his operating position near the island by non-motorized means across a frozen bay, as well as for his persistent attempts to maintain radio contacts when most participants were far beyond reach.
